Hurricane Norbert closing in on Baja California

October 8, 2008

Hurricane Norbert has been upgraded to a Category 2 hurricane.  Today it is expected to turn into a major hurricane. Yesterday the center of the hurricane was located 500mi south of Baja California. It is moving towards Baja at 10mph and will slowly get closer and closer.

It is hard to tell exactly how strong hurricane Norbert will be but if you live in the area it is best to be prepared. Right now its maximum sustained winds are near 105 mph. This is the seventh hurricane of the east pacific season and more is expected to come.
